Search is the big change this week. Describe the funding you are after the way you would say it out loud — "youth mental health programming in rural Alberta" — and Grant Scout will surface programs that match what you mean, even when the funder's own page never uses those words. Short, precise searches still land exactly where you would expect. Longer, more descriptive ones are where you will notice the difference.
Results come back in order of how well they fit what you asked for, so the closest match is usually the first thing on the page. Every filter still stacks on top: region, sector, who can apply, funding type, amount, deadline. Start with a broad description, then tighten it down without starting over.
Found a search worth keeping? Save it. Give it a name and it lives under the Searches tab with your filters and sort remembered exactly as you left them. One click brings the whole thing back, so the search you built on Monday is still waiting on Friday. Your saved searches sit in the Explore sidebar too, one click from wherever you are.
Know a grant we do not have? There is now an Add a grant option on the Explore page. Paste the link, tell us whether it is a single program or a page listing many, and it goes straight to our review queue. Directory pages are especially welcome — one good listing often brings dozens of grants with it. If we already have what you sent, we will say so and take you straight to it.
Spotted something that does not look right? Every grant page has a "Spotted a mistake?" link. A deadline that has moved, an amount that reads wrong, a link that has gone dead: tell us and it reaches a person. Reports never change the listing on their own — someone checks it and corrects it at the source.
There are more than 3,000 live grants on Grant Scout today, and that number moves every week as new programs open and others close. Everything above is in service of the same thing: less time hunting, more time applying.
